One of our licensed USCG Captains and four guests tow an Ocean Boat about 40 minutes down to Homer, launching from the docks. They travel by boat from the Homer Harbor along the Seldovia Coast passing a variety of islands to the prime fishing area. The view along the coast is absolutely beautiful.
A variety of wildlife can be seen on these trips including Sea Otters, Seals, Sea Lions, Whales, Bald Eagles, Black Bears and Puffin. This trip is often referred to as the "Super Combo" of wildlife viewing and saltwater fishing, where you never know what you're going to see or catch. The primary species we target are Rockfish (Black Bass), Halibut and Salmon. But we also hookup Tiger Rockfish, Yelloweye (Pacific Red Snapper), Lingcod, Gray Cod, Starry Flounder, Irish Lord, Kelp Greenling and other colorful species roaming past our bait. |
